Open Water Course:
Learning Scuba is a Three Phase Process

1. Academics (Classroom)
Staying safe underwater is easy. We'll teach you the skills necessary to acquire your OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION.

There are two ways to master the academics:

  1. Combination home study and lecture - By utilizing the PADI materials, you prepare for review and testing sessions with the instructor. Depending on the format, there may be two or three sessions.
  2. Online home study - All of the academics are taken on line via PADI eLearning at your pace and leisure. Even all of the testing is completed in PADI's comprehensive Online Program.

2. Confined Water Training (Pool)
Here is where the real fun begins!!!  You'll learn how to set up and adjust your equipment and how to handle it underwater. You'll learn how to become weightless and fly, at will, in any direction.
We will provide you with top-of-line SCUBAPRO Scuba gear to use during your Confined Water Training.
You must own your own Dive Mask, Snorkel, Dive Fins & Booties.
If you're planning to get certified at an alternate location, referrals are available at no extra charge.

The feeling will give a new definition to the word "Awesome"!!!

3. Open Water Certification Dives (Quarry)
You'll be executing some skill exercises and touring during the four Open Water Dives in the Quarry's Underwater Environment. You'll see how easy and fun it is to fly over the landscape in a fluid sky. You'll be amazed by how much life there is to see.  One weekend's SCUBAPRO Rental Gear for your Open Water Training Gear is included with our Open Water Course.

You are responsible for the daily entry fee into Haigh Quarry.  (Open Water Training Dives are done within two days)
You are responsible for additional air fills.

Now you'll know why you always wanted to do this!!!

For safety, students must complete a brief SCUBA MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE for each course, that asks about medical conditions that could be a problem while diving. If none of these apply, you sign the form and you’re ready to start. If any of these apply to you, as a safety precaution your physician must assess the condition as it relates to diving and sign a medical release form that confirms that you’re fit to dive before beginning your Scuba Course.
